This new single is a mash-up of the legendary, greatest sports rock anthem of all time "We Will Rock You" and the legendary, dramatic, beloved theme for the NFL on CBS. Developed by Queen guitarist Brian May and VonLichten, the mad genius behind the theme, it's an entirely new look for America's most popular sport and one of the all-time biggest bands in the world.

Queen will be supporting the track with repeated posts on their social outlets including their 16.5 million strong Facebook page.Additionally as of October 14, CBS has incorporated the mash-up into their hugely successful Sunday NFL broadcasts. (CBS is currently celebrating their 50th year of broadcasting the NFL.)

Merge the passion and elegance of a VonLichten orchestral work with the raw power of Brian May's iconic rock anthem "We Will Rock You" and you have the Symphonic Smash-Up "We Will Rock You VonLichten", the new promotional theme for the 2012 / 2013 NFL on CBS football season.

"We Will Rock You VonLichten" was born when CBS Sports needed a song for the 2012 / 2013 NFL on CBS Season and approached both parties to create a mash up of Queen's "We Will Rock You" and VonLichten's NFL on CBS theme "Posthumus Zone." VonLichten hooked up with Queen's Brian May and began working on the song using the band's original multitracks. From there, a full orchestra was added and Brian complemented the orchestral score with newly recorded guitar parts. The result is an epic philharmonic homage to Queen's classic anthem.

VonLichten has enjoyed great success with CBS writing themes for such programs as "Cold Case," "The NFL Today", and "The US Open". In 2010, his collaboration with Jay-Z on "Run This Town-Posthumus Zone" for the opening tease of Super Bowl XLIV was seen by more than one hundred million viewers worldwide. Queen are, per Guinness, the all-time most successful British band and have sold hundreds of millions of albums.
